F.P.S are trialling a new Skype therapy service.

​This service may appeal if:
  • ​​You are in a remote location and find it difficult to travel to our clinic.
  • You are uncomfortable in meeting outwith your own surroundings.
  • The nature of your difficulties makes it difficult for you to leave the house.​
  • You are under time pressure.
  • The cost of a full therapy session is prohibitive and you believe the cost of this service will be more manageable.
  • ​You simply want to relax and be at ease in your own home, maybe in your comfy chair with a cup of coffee. 

How it works.

​If you are interested in Skype therapy, please contact us to arrange a telephone call back to discuss. If we agree this is the right service for you, we will provide you with full details of the service via email.

We will ask you to provide us with your Skype contact details.
We will arrange to call you on an agreed date and at an agreed time.  It is important that you pick a time that will be quiet and you will not be interrupted.
To maintain our time slots with other clients, Skype appointments are 30 or 40 minutes in duration and session times must be strictly adhered to. 

You can choose between a 30 or 40 minute session.  A 30 minute session costs £50. A 40 minute session costs £60.  Advance payment for this service is required at time of session booking.

If we consider that it would be helpful to send you documents to read or diaries to complete in the course of your therapy, we will send you these via email prior to your online session.

All you need to get started is Windows XP with SP3, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1, a webcam for video calls and a microphone (or a headset).
System requirements:
  • PC running Windows® XP with SP3, Vista, 7, 8 or 8.1 both 32- and 64-bit operating systems. Get more info
  • Internet connection – broadband is best (GPRS is not supported for voice calls).
  • Speakers and microphone/headset – built-in or separate. 
  • Skype shop: http://shop.skype.com/intl/en-gb/
  • For voice calls we recommend a broadband connection with 100 kbps down / 100 kbps up.
  • For group video calling everyone on the call needs Skype 5.0 for Windows or Mac or higher plus webcams. For best quality we recommend you use a high-speed broadband connection of 4Mbps down / 512kbps up and a computer with a Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz processor. As a minimum you’ll need a high-speed broad connection of 512kbps down / 128kbps up and a computer with a 1 GHz processor.
